Data Deletion

1. Disconnect a service

Use the Connections screen to disconnect Shopify or the connected email provider. Disconnecting revokes Persuadly’s active use of that connection. Uninstalling Persuadly in Shopify also disconnects Shopify authorization and ends access governed by that installation and plan status.

Disconnecting or uninstalling is different from deleting the complete Persuadly account because businesses may need to reconnect without losing Brand Voice and campaign history.

2. Request permanent account deletion

1. Email privacy@persuadly.com from the account owner’s registered business email.
2. Use the subject “Persuadly account deletion request”.
3. Include the Persuadly account email and Shopify store domain. Do not include passwords or tokens.
4. We will verify control of the account before deletion.

3. What deletion covers

Following verification, deletion removes or de-identifies the active Persuadly business account and associated user membership, provider connections and credentials, synchronized product catalogue, Brand Voice profile, campaign briefs and drafts, generation jobs and tenant usage records, subject to the limited exceptions below.

4. Information we may retain

We may retain the minimum information required to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, document consent or suppression choices, and protect the service. Financial and contractual records may be retained for up to six years. Security logs expire according to short operational schedules, and residual backup copies expire through the backup rotation. Retained information is not used to continue providing or marketing the deleted account.

Verified requests are normally completed in active systems within 30 days. We will explain if law or a complex request requires a different period.

5. Shopify privacy requests

Shopify may send Persuadly a verified request concerning merchant or store information. We authenticate Shopify-originated requests before taking action. Persuadly uses only the read_products scope and does not request Shopify customer or order data.
